Update: SEIU Clerical Negotiation Session 2

UIC and SEIU bargaining teams met for approximately 4 hours. The session began with a reiteration of the ground rules and some further discussion regarding the mechanics of work releases for union bargaining team members. The Union led-off by presenting 17 redlined proposals, with significant re-writes of articles with some similarity to those presented at the Professionals bargaining session on August 16. The University agreed to provide some counterproposals at the next session. Two uncontested tentative agreements were signed. The University also distributed and proposed that the parties sign TA’s for two other articles.
