Update: SEIU Professional Negotiation Session 10

Both parties and the federal mediator met for a full-day session. UIC distributed copies of 3 articles that include University counters along with an updated Proposal’s chart detailing the SEIU’s 60 outstanding proposed changes to the contract. SEIU presented 1 article with new proposals and updates to previous proposals. Both parties discussed the proposals and their positions. After a caucus, SEIU presented counter proposals to one of UIC’s article proposals subsequently, UIC discussed/responded to one of SEIU’s article proposals. Much time was spend discussing UIC decentralized units, diverse services and staffing.
