Update: SEIU Service and Maintenance Negotiation Session 2

UIC and SEIU bargaining teams met for approximately 2 hours hour. UIC indicated it hoped to TA 2 to 3 uncontested proposals but the union opted to review and wait on this. UIC also indicated that it wished to TA on full article proposals rather than on individual language with in that proposal and SEIU indicated this approach might prove to be difficult. UIC moved to review 3 union proposals. The concerns with the proposals deal with either individual situations, the logistics of specific buildings and/or employee/management having individual discussions. UIC moved to reject 2 union proposals and 1 partially. In closing the session UIC offered 3 future dates for the next negotiation.
