Update: SEIU Technical Negotiation Session 6

The University and SEIU met for a full day of bargaining. This is the fourth session with federal mediator Stephen George. The University began the session by tendering counterproposals on Article 10 (Work Schedule and Hours of Work) and Article 13 (Job and Shift bidding). The parties made positive movement but reached no agreements. In addition to Articles 10 and 13, only Article 20 (Dues Deduction) remains of the non-economic issues. After the non-economic discussion, the union presented a revised wage model for a potential 3, 4 or 5-year agreement. The University shared that it would take the revision under advisement and did not offer an official response.
