The University and SEIU met for a half day of bargaining. This is the seventh session with federal mediator Stephen George. The union began the session by probing and questioning a campus announcement that was distributed to all staff to ensure transparency and up-to-date facts about the status of negotiations. The University began to expound on the wages presented within the announcement. The union interrupted to inform the University that the session was being live-streamed on SEIU's Facebook page. The University instantly went into caucus as recordings of bargaining go against the ground-rules of bargaining set by the federal mediator. After further consideration of how events transpired, the bargaining session ended. No proposals were exchanged.
