Update: SEIU Service Negotiation Session 21

UIC and SEIU Local 73 met for a half day of bargaining.  The session ended approximately at 2 p.m.  This was the fifth session with mediator Healy.  After a caucus, the session began with UIC presenting a counterproposal for Article VII, Vacation, and a separate agreement concerning Dress Code.  UIC made its initial wage offer and countered BSW reassignment/subcontracting.  UIC also presented its response to Article VII and the Dress Code.  UIC also sent a “Clean Up” language proposal to SEIU covering various aspects of miscellaneous articles, which the parties are attempting to make uniform.

The next service bargaining session is April 11, 2024.
