This website has been created to provide important information to the UIC and UI Health communities regarding the status of workforce issues and negotiations between the university and four bargaining units representing 4,000 clerical, technical, service and professional employees across the Chicago campus and at the University of Illinois Hospital, as well as the Peoria, Rockford, Urbana regional campuses, and UIC Specialized Care for Children.

Since June 2023, UIC has been negotiating with SEIU Local 73 to reach fair and fiscally responsible multiyear contract agreements. In February 2024, a federal mediator joined the sessions to help guide the discussions.
